Designer’s Home – Spectacular Mediterranean Villa

The architect James Cavagnari and his interior designer wife transformed a 300-year-old summer house on the Aeolian island of Salina into a splendid seaside villa with stunning views of the Tyrrhenian sea and the village. The dramatic rocky hills attracted Cavagnari when he saw Salina from the water and he felt he had to have a house on one of these windswept hills, set close to the mountain. {}

All the rooms open onto terraces with breath-stopping views.

The kitchen is the most coloful room in the house with hand-painted tiles on the backsplash.
