This luxurious upper-level addtion to a traditional vacation home in Davos, Switzerland, was designed by Dietrich/Untertrifaller Architects, the architectural firm founded in 1994 and emerged from collaboration of Helmut Dietrich and Much Untertrifaller.
The structure is an ensemble of two small vacation homes built in the 1960s. Set high above the valley with a marvelous panorama view of several 3000-m mountain peaks, the three-floor home addition was fitted precisely into the former two-story building ensuring a seamless integration of the old and the new. The interiors clad with lightly oiled silver fir wood bring in the velvet layer feel.
