movie (moody) locations

Summer is fading.. These romantic images of the Provencal villa with a beautiful enigmatic garden accurately convey eluding summer mood. Bonjour tristesse!

Director Ridley Scott chose the setting for the movie in the area close to his own home in Provence. He looked at almost a dozen locations for Uncle Henry’s Chateau La Siroque before coming back to the first one, Chateau La Canorgue, which had “a spectacular view looking out over the Luberon, and the magical dusk light that bathes the main house in the late afternoon.”
